Made by Curt Bauer – in line with international trends

Customers throughout Germany and the world appreciate the products and service offered by Curt Bauer GmbH. Own collections in the bed and table linen sector are offered under the main brand Bauer. The collections offered by the medium-sized family company in the fields of table and bed linen, clothing damask, technical and airline textiles are an extension of the company’s over 125-year tradition and also influence international trends. The company supplies to large customers such as mail order, department and furniture stores as well as to the specialist and retail trades. In Aue, the range of products is available from the Curt Bauer specialist store as well as from the factory outlet in the Bahnhofstrasse.

A good sixty percent of Curt Bauer products are exported, trend upwards. The most important selling regions are Europe, the Gulf States, North America, the Far East, Russia and West Africa. Selling is directly ex-works as well as by commercial travellers of Curt Bauer GmbH and through own offices, for example in Shanghai. For years, the company has placed its faith in its own next generation. At present, 13 apprentices are being trained in professions such as skilled technician for textile technology (weaver, finisher), professional consumer goods packer as well as professions in the commercial field.

Quality is the be-all and end-all of the company’s success. For more than a decade, the company has successfully retained the DIN ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate from TÜV Rhineland / Berlin-Brandenburg in all regularly required audits. The company is also authorised to use the German quality seal for environmentally friendly textiles – the “Eco-Tex Standard 100”. Thorough training of all production and sales personnel guarantees quick mastering of modern techniques, knowledge of the latest technology and design trends, of sales strategies and environmental requirements. Curt Bauer GmbH received the Saxon Design Prize as well as the New Product Award at the New York Home Textiles Show in 2003 and 2004. In January 2008, Curt Bauer advanced to the premium level of the Heimtextil exhibition in Frankfurt am Main for the first time, presenting its ranges at “More Clarity”, the most renowned sector of the industry’s most important and largest trade exhibition.­
